The San Francisco Chronicle led the investigation after wallets linked to Yu continued trading tokens despite an obituary announcing his demise.

"I’ve been doxxed. I’ve been harassed. If you can find me, other people can find me," Yu told The Chronicle. The situation has forced him to relocate his parents due to safety concerns. The bizarre episode began when Yu seemingly took his own life during a Pump.fun livestream, leaving the meme token community in confusion.
